All interaction categories showed a positive correlation between success rate and valence score, especially in the train and play interactions than in the touch and feed interactions.
Goes on to say.
Moreover, cats’ autonomous behaviors and reactions positively influenced the participants.

“Because Cats are so Hard to Train”
I suppose you are referring to to oft mentioned “cats are not dogs” maxim in the fact that masculine men are different than feminine girls.
“If you wonder why you’re obsessed…and if you wonder what behaviors you can learn from others…”
I’m presuming you are making a simple statement that pursuing girls and them acting like cats is why one might be obsessed at pursuing and more pursuing.
“The characteristic temperament of the cat” is very worth observing.
I observe that cats are very self directed. When semi-domesticated ( kept indoors and given free reign outdoors) they are mixed in their freedom and their independence.
Interesting thing is that they are crepuscular (zoology: (of an animal) appearing or active in twilight.) like deer. They like dawn and dusk. With a passion. By nature.
I deer hunt and provide deer habitat improvements. My wife has always had cats the last 30 years. (N-count of 10?) Both those animals mostly act on instincts without lots of reason or emotion. But they do use emotional instincts. And learn instinctively. They don’t reason. (An emotional girl’s weak spot.)
What I observe is that my wife has transferred/transmutes and learned from cats. Same as the study concludes. She acts like a cat. Independent. Not always knowing the best timing for the benefit of all… Autonomous and often disobeying the wants of the handler, to come indoors and be in the house at the right time at the right moment. But ultimately whining, meowing or making noises for attention. And not in a bad way. Meaning: no harm done.
There is a masculine way and there is a feminine way. And neither is wrong. Most all cats are feminine in nature. Even the males, because there really aren’t any male cats domesticated that aren’t neutered.
I presume Archie is talking about male cat herding, it makes him want to chase/handle/herd more and develop more and more competence.
Women behave like cats because the independence and instincts sans reason helps them get what limited feels they need. They are/can be trained with play. They are independent when it comes to touch and feed. I’ve seen it happen in the field–the analogy holds.
And my wife is fine with her cat herding. And I don’t mind. It’s all part of the dance. It still behooves you to watch what they do, not what they say.
A little deep dive there by me, but good representative archetype there Archie. The analogy is valid. I take it as you are referring to you herding women as cats. It fits.
