Don’t know the background of this artist, but the song is on the Killing Even soundtrack.
Killing Eve is what the “smart” people were watching instead of Season 8 of Game of Thrones.
Sandra Oh, (Eve) plays a member of law enforcement that has an unhealthy fascination with FEMALE serial killers.
She’s dating a sad sack of a husband who just wants to hit it from time to time.
Well she comes across her great white whale, a female serial killer named Villanelle (get it, it’s villain, but changed up a bit! – played by Jodie Comer).
But Villanelle is a lesbian. And Eve…Eve is bi-curious.
The show itself is great, but the relationships are toxic. And the pursuit….
There are some game lessons in the show, as it’s written by a woman – but also lots of really dark stuff.
This particular song..
Just a glance at the first verse –
And I could leave you just this fast
‘Cause if you did, baby, I would judge you too
No, you don’t judge me
‘Cause if you did, baby, I would judge you too
But you got ’em too
So give ’em all to me
And I’ll give mine to you…
Interesting…
So is it the emotional ping-pong that a woman is capable of — is that what draws you to the lyrics?
As for conversational fodder, do you turn in into a story?
Ex. You step up to nice ting you see at the club: “Get this, my homie’s girl broke up with him last week. Next week, me and my friend are at x bar with two girls from blah-blah. The ex shows up at the same bar, and she’s watching my homie like a hawk. Should my friend have said something to her?”
I could see that getting some decent responses. Where would you take it, WIA?
That’s a standard indirect opener. The weird part is going from total stranger to someone telling a story. That’s the biggest “social dynamics” leap. It’s why Direct Game and Todd’s idea of “Premise” make those things so much more appealing.
It’s still my opinion, that the head honchos behind classic indirect game, they were both performers. So to them, all the world was a stage.
